?BIG Becomes "Second Home" for Pusdikintel

Cibinong, Geospatial News - A total of 109 people from the Center for Intelligence Education (Pusdikintel) Kodiklat Army Headquarters (AD) visited the Office of the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG), Cibinong on Thursday, March 28, 2019. Visit participants consisting of 94 non-commissioned students and 15 Army Chiefs of Staff the assistant was led by Lieutenant Colonel Moechtar Infantry. The group was welcomed by BIG Research, Promotion and Cooperation (PPPKS) Staff, Agung Teguh Mandira in the BIG Main Hall, Building S, Level 2.

In his remarks Agung revealed that BIG was in principle very open to all institutions to learn about Geospatial Information (IG). "BIG is basically open for anyone to learn about geospatial information, we also often receive visits like this and we are always ready to accept it," Agung said to participants.

The head of the Army Headquarters Pusdikintel, Lt. Col. Moechtar Infantry expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome. "Thank you for the welcome to all staff on duty. BIG is like home to Pusdikintel because there are already countless visits to BIG, "he said.

Lieutenant Colonel Moechtar Infantry also expressed his hope that students could study the knowledge that BIG had given them carefully, so that later it could be utilized. "This Pusdikintel has a lot to do with geospatial, so hopefully these students can receive the material carefully, so that their knowledge is useful," he added.

After the remarks, BIG gave a souvenir as a token of remembrance to Pusdikintel. Then proceed with the presentation of the first material from the Topographical Mapping Center and Toponym (PPRT), Maratun Sholihah. In his presentation, Maratun told the visiting participants that the DWP was the kitchen for making Rupa Bumi Indonesia (RBI) maps at BIG.

The presentation was continued by the second resource person from the Regional Boundary Mapping Center (PPBW), Teguh Fayakun Afif about Limits for Sovereignty. In his presentation, Teguh put his hopes in the TNI to be able to maintain the boundaries that have been set.

The visit then ended with material presentation from the Center for Management and Dissemination of Geospatial Information (PPIG), Bondan Vitorini on the mechanism of data exchange and IG through the National Geospatial Information Network (JIGN). Today's visit closed with a question and answer discussion session and a group photo. (GU / LR)
