Workshop Penitentiary Surta NOT Upgrading Surta

 


Tuesday (24 April 2007), held at the Hall Hasan University Faculty of Agriculture Basry Lambung Mangkurat (UNLAM), South Kalimantan, has held workshops Penitentiary Surveys and Mapping (Surta) which followed participants for more than 48 people consisting of teachers of senior secondary-level Geography , Faculty of Agriculture Faculty and Student Guidance and Counseling UNLAM and nature lovers.

Greeting initiated by Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture University of Gastric Mangkurat Hakimah Halim followed by remarks from BAKOSURTANAL represented by Heru Warsito B. Sc as PLH Head Service Center and Information. Hakimah Halim said that this activity can provide supplies of the survey and mapping that can be transmitted to their students. Also said that many of the benefits of a growing map lately and he just told not to stare to the things that conventional but had changed the direction of digital (digital maps, Red).

Furthermore, Heru Warsito in his speech said, "Until now, only a small part of our community who understand the true benefits of spatial data, even that has not tahupun much. Based on these conditions then BAKOSURTANAL make various programs within the framework of community empowerment, one of which is the dissemination workshop survey and mapping of the main targets are geography teachers'.

Heru Warsito also explained that this workshop is not upgrading, in which participants only listened to the material presented the speaker, but at this workshop participants are expected to actively discussing with the speakers, so the material actually absorbed so that the main purpose of the workshop can be achieved.

Before the closing, the results of the evaluation committee of the implementation workshop. From the results of a questionnaire that was distributed to participants, they assess a systematic presentation of the system (83%), according to the level of mastery of the material by the speaker of the medium-high (93.4%). Even so, maybe that needs to be improved is the variation of presentation (65%).

Workshop participants also considered very useful content (76.7%) and useful (23.3%), most assumed in accordance with their expectations (73% and 23.3% sesuasi very appropriate). However, they compact that the implementation of a just a day workhsop was assessed as very less time.

At the end of the show, from high school Amrullah Cape Harwei given the opportunity to give the impression, and its message, as a representative of the participants. Principal says the curriculum there are 84 chapters on Remote Sensing (PJ) and Geographic Information System (GIS), whereas until now he had never known what it was PJ and GIS.
