National Team of Standardization for Topography Name has given and standardize the island in 9887 the name of 31 provinces. This was conveyed by the Director of Administration and the Border Region Government Directorate General of Home Affairs, Eko Subowo, the PRN Transfer Working Meeting held in Jakarta (Tuesday, 24 November 2008). Advanced Eko, the island was 9887 of which 4981 have been announced in the 9th session of the Conference of standardization of Geographical Names Council (The IX United Nations Conference on Standardization of Geographical Names) in New York, United States.
In 2009, national team plans to standardize names of topography in 8 provinces, including the Province of Bangka Belitung, Banten, West Java, Central Java, East Java, North Sulawesi, Bali and Central Kalimantan, said Eko Subowo.
This meeting was officially opened by Chaerul Hafidin, Basic Mapping Deputy of BAKOSURTANAL.
Several presentations at the meeting include the work of the Implementation Policy for Topography Name Standarization which delivered by Chaerul Hafidin. Further regulation of Policy No. 112 of 2006 and Permendagri No. 39 of 2008 by Eko Subowo.
