2010: Dynamic Spatial Development Plan for Borneo and Celebes

 

Friday (5/3/2010) BAKOSURTANAL and Oriental Consultants, Co., Ltd.. (Japan), agreed to conduct cooperation NSDI Project-Development Consulting Services Project II: Data Utilization for Regional Development Planning (RDP).

The agreement marked by the signing of the employment contract was witnessed by Chief BAKOSURTANAL, Rudolf W. Matindas, BAKOSURTANAL officials, representatives from Bappenas and the PT. Demensi Ranakon, as partners of local consultants Indonesia.

Rudolf W. Matindas welcomed the agreement because the job is relatively new in Indonesia. Matindas also hoped that this activity can meet the needs of integrated development planning, both sectoral and territorial.

Previously, development planning approach is still sectoral-based approach, and proven approach is less able to integrate inter-regional development, said Chief BAKOSURTANAL.

While more focused regional approach in which areas should get priority Yeng for development. In the context of Indonesia, both approaches can be applied so that it can cover each other's respective deficiencies.

The merger is in accordance with the mandate of the Law No. 17 of 2007 on Long-Term Development Plan (RPJP), which states development should be based on data and information are accurate and spatially based.

Since 2007, BAKOSURTANAL and Bappenas have developed a model-based regional development plan for the unit of analysis of spatial-island archipelago in Indonesia, and was completed in 2009 for the region of Sumatra, Java-Bali, Nusa Tenggara and Papua.

Meanwhile, Borneo and celebes will be doing this in 2010. Oriental Consultan, Co.. Ltd. (Japan) in partnership with PT. Demensi Ronakon have won an auction conducted by a committee of BAKOSURTANAL.

Head BAKOSURTANAL also hope that through activities based spatial planning can be realized by both, and can be poured integration planning models based on inter-island to island in a national planning model.
