Korpri members are asked to leave the monotonous way

Tangsel, Geospatial News - The Indonesian Employee Corps (Korpri) recently celebrated its 48th birthday on Friday, November 29, 2019. This year's Korpri Anniversary celebrations with the theme 'Work, Serve and Unite the Nation' were centered at the Indonesia International Expo (ICE) Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD), South Tangerang, Banten.

Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucracy Reform (MenPAN-RB) Tjahjo Kumolo when reading President Joko Widodo's remarks expressed his appreciation to Korpri members who served in remote areas of the country, in the frontier islands, in the border regions and isolated areas.

"They are servants of the state who carry out their duties with full dedication, to ensure the state is present in all corners of the country. Thank you for the service you give to the people, nation, and country," Tjahjo said before the 12,000 Korpri members present on ICE.

According to Tjahjo, the 4th volume industrial revolution has disrupted all lines of life, not only in the way of communication but also in how to manage the government. On the other hand, competition between countries is also increasingly fierce to fight over technology, fight for markets and fight for the great talents used to advance the country.

"In the face of change and competition, we must not be afraid. We must face competition in new ways, with new breakthroughs. Speed, creativity, and innovation are key," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Korpri National Management Board Zudan Arif Fakrulloh in his remarks reminded all Korpri members to conduct self-evaluations. This needs to be done to create a professional Korpri.

"One of the things we want to speed up is an electronic-based government system so that the decision-making process will be faster. The State Civil Apparatus (ASN) must answer every change that occurs, "said Zudan.

In addition, he also invited all Korpri members to immediately transform in the current digital era. "Let's make ASN transformative," said Zudan.

At the peak of Korpri's 48th anniversary, the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) participated in the ceremony. As many as 25 representatives of BIG witnessed the appearance of a colossal art event from all regions in Indonesia. This event is expected to be a means of glue and unifying the nation. (NIN)
