Cibinong, Geospatial News - The Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) received a visit to the Cianjur Regency Geography Study Meeting (MGMP) on Wednesday, October 9, 2019. A total of 20 Geography teachers from the Cianjur Regency visited BIG to learn more about mapping.
"We made a visit to BIG in order to dig deeper into information related to mapping because this semester we teach students basic competencies about maps and remote sensing. We must equip ourselves with more knowledge to be able to answer children's questions later, "said Head of the MGMP Geography of Cianjur Regency Deden Mohammad M. while giving a speech at the C-1 Meeting Room, Building C, BIG, Cibinong, Bogor, Wednesday, 9 October 2019.
On this occasion, the Head of the Center for Research, Promotion, and Cooperation Wiwin Ambarwulan said that his office should open an intuition for anyone who wants to visit and gain knowledge. Moreover, BIG does indeed serve as a provider of Geospatial Information (IG).
"BIG is indeed the center of mapping, so the choice of ladies and gentlemen to visit BIG is very appropriate," said Wiwin.
Next, the Geography teachers get a general explanation about BIG from BIG Promotion and Cooperation Field staff. After exposure to the BIG profile, the session continued with technical material from the resource persons that had been prepared.
For approximately three hours the teachers get earth material. The visit was closed with discussion and questions and answers. This activity is quite interactive. One can see the enthusiasm of the teachers who are members of the MGMP Geography in the Cianjur Regency. They not only asked about the mapping and the process but also expressed the anxieties that had been experienced when dealing with students. (NIN)
