Cibinong Geospatial News - Usually, the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) receives visits from ministries/institutions (K / L), students, or high school (high school) and junior high school (SMP) students. However, this time there was something different because the ones visiting us were elementary school students.
For two days, BIG received a visit from the Integrated Islamic Elementary School As Shof, Depok. On Wednesday, January 22, 2020, first and second-grade students at SDIT As Shof learned about maps on BIG. The second day, on Thursday, January 23, 2020, it was the turn of the third and fourth-grade students at SDIT As Shof to learn to play on BIG.
All SDIT As Shof students seemed eager to participate in the whole series of activities during the visit to BIG. They are more enthusiastic when invited to play drones, a tool commonly used for mapping on BIG.
"Thanks to BIG, for accepting us openly. At this time, it is vital for the next generation to know the function and purpose of Geospatial Information," said Principal of SDIT As Shof Depok Lahmud in his speech.
During their visit to BIG, the students also got to know Atlas Indonesia. Furthermore, they learned BIG's tasks and functions that might still be unfamiliar to the public.
It was a fun event. Do you want to visit BIG this year? (AR/NIN/MAD)
