Timika, Geospatial News - Geospatial Information (IG) increasingly feels its role in various activities, both government, academics and the general public. In order to increase public understanding, especially in academics, Members of the House of Representatives Commission VII together with the Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) held IG Dissemination in the campus or college environment. This time the Amamapare Polytechnic Timika hosted this activity.

Then the activity was opened by Member of Commission VII, Tony Wardoyo. In his opening remarks Tony Wardoyo said that BIG was a partner of the House of Representatives Commission VII. "BIG is a very important institution. This institution is an IG supervisor and organizer. One of the tasks of this institution is to inventory the number of islands throughout Indonesia.
