Makassar, Geospatial News - Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) together with Ministries / Institutions (K / L), BUMN partners commission VII DPR-RI accompanied a working visit (Kunker) member of Commission VII of the DPR RI in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on March 29, 2019 Besides BIG, the working visit team from K / L, BUMN, including the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Ministry of Environment and Forestry (LHK), Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), LIPI, BPPT, BATAN, BAPETEN, PT. Pertamina, PT. PLN, BPH Migas and SKK Migas.
During the working visit, the working team was led by Tamsil Linrung (Deputy Chair of Commission VII) along with other members of the DPR, including: Fadel Muhammad, Nawafie Saleh, Ikhwan Datu Adam, Taslim Azis and others. The team was received by the Deputy Governor of South Sulawesi, Andi Sudirman Sulaiman, at the Governor's Office of South Sulawesi Province.
The visit began with a meeting between the South Sulawesi Provincial Government and the South Sulawesi Provincial Parliament, South Sulawesi Regional Police, and Kodam XVI Hasanudin. In his remarks, Deputy Governor, Andi Sudirman Sulaiman said, South Sulawesi Province had around 300 islands. "The challenges faced by the South Sulawesi Provincial Government are basic needs, including: electricity, clean water, education, health and telecommunications", he explained. The three facilities have not been fully enjoyed by the community.
Deputy Governor Andi Sudirman, who has been working in the offshore world, said that the technology in the oil and gas sector has been very advanced, such as the sophistication of Dynamic Positioning (DP2) ships, Remote Operation Vehicles (ROV), and installation of cables or underwater facilities. This technology can be applied in South Sulawesi, especially for facilities on small islands. In addition to the three challenges, there are 2 (two) other challenges, such as: the need for a one-roof school, and deforestation of the former mining area. The Deputy Governor also said that the coastal zoning plan was inadequate, and this was very important for the benefit of coastal spatial planning, which is one of the pre-eminent in South Sulawesi.
Meanwhile in his remarks, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Commission VII, Tamsil Linrung, said that one of the goals of the visit was to carry out the oversight function and absorb the people's aspirations. Then it was also stated that the target of K / L budget absorption under the House of Representatives Commission VII, must be above 95%. If it is estimated that it will not reach 95%, the K / L is asked to divert its budget for activities that benefit the community and humanity directly.
The activity then continued with remarks from other members of the House of Representatives Commission VII, including Nawafie Saleh, Fadel Muhammad and others. In his remarks, Nawafie Salah said, "South Sulawesi Province has a lot of potential natural resources, this is a gift from God. For this reason, we can work together in developing and developing South Sulawesi for the welfare of the people.
On this occasion, BIG, represented by the Head of the Planning Section, Fajar Triadi also handed over Geospatial Information products to the Deputy Governor of South Sulawesi, in the form of a Homeland Map and IG related books. (YI / LR)
