Wednesday, April 1, 2009, organized a forum triangle between BAKOSURTANAL, University of Gajah Mada (UGM) and the Provincial Government of Yogyakarta Special Region is located at Parangtritis Geospatial Laboratory, Yogyakarta. The meeting was intended as a forum evaluation of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) which has been running since 2007, given the age of the MoU which will soon be over in 2010.
On that occasion, each side has presented support activities that have been made since the agreement was signed today. Until now all parties have to contribute according to ability and corridors as stipulated in the MoU. In fact, each also has submitted plans to the front.
From the geospatial laboratory BAKOSURTANAL hope not only as a place to store the results of research on coastal and marine, but should also conduct independent research of others.
Year 2010 - 2014 BAKOSURTANAL programmed Typology Coastal Studies in Indonesia, Typology of Regional Problems and Rapid Integrated Coastal Survey, and is an opportunity for all parties to join and participate.
Suratman Woro, Dean of the Faculty of Geography Gadjah Mada University, in his presentation intends to develop the concept of the triangle for the laboratory function, namely as laboratories, museums, and exhibitions.
Bantul District Secretary DIY, Sudarto, hoping the presence of the laboratory must be able to improve the welfare of the surrounding community, either directly or indirectly, eg through study-study results.
The event which lasted half a day was attended by more than 60 invitations, not only from the third parties of the MoU, but also from neighboring areas such as the Public Health Information Development District Purworejo and Kebumen. Attended by Deputy BAKOSURTANAL SDSDA, the echelon II and other regulations.
