Cibinong, Geospatial News - Starting 2020, Head of BIG Hasanuddin Zainal Abidin gave a speech to evaluate BIG's milestone in the past years. He reminded there is still homework to be finished in the upcoming year.
"Many countries have praised the development of Geospatial Information in Indonesia, because of the openness of geospatial data on BIG. We must maintain this and continue to improve our performance," Hasan said at GOR Laga Tangkas, Pakansari, Cibinong, Tuesday, January 28, 2020.
According to Hasan, Deputy of Basic Geospatial Information has to focus on improving the numbers of CORS, tides gauges, and large-scale base maps. Those projects would impact on the increased number of Spatial Detail Plan (RDTR) to improve the quality of development in Indonesia.
"In 2020, BIG will also continue the One Map Policy (KSP) by adding themes that support maritime and disaster mitigation. Besides, BIG is prepared to provide maps with a more detailed scale," Hasan said.
BIG, Hasan continued, is also committed to supporting the One Data Policy, which emphasizes the integration of spatial, statistic, and financial data. Those data are needed to sustain 17 development priority programs.
In closing, Hasan reminded the staff that BIG is one body.
"If one hurts, the other must get sick, not even happy. The BIG family must be able to move and work together," he concluded. (FL / NIN / MAD)
