Cibinong, Bogor - The Geospatial Information Agency held a Memorandum of Understanding signing and cooperation agreements with 22 institutions, local governments and the private sector on Friday 8 November 2019 at the BIG main hall.
The MoU and the Signing of this Cooperation contain the implementation, utilization, and development of Geospatial Information and HR.
Muhtadi Ganda Sutrisna, BIG Principal Secretary in his remarks conveyed that HR and Science and Technology are the main keys in every development activity. Likewise in the administration of IG. BIG has collaborated with several universities in 22 provinces in establishing the Center for Geospatial Information Infrastructure Development. And in 2019, Jambi University will be the next tertiary institution to collaborate with BIG.
"This is a big activity meaning to support the industrial revolution 4.0 which is marked by very rapid progress, we must spur human resources to support this acceleration, therefore all components in the development of this nation such as universities and their governments must prepare their human resources. According to him the University of Jambi had met with Bappeda and was ready to build an IG education embryo in Jambi, as evidenced by the presence of several faculties and departments related to Geospatial information that had been established. And Jambi University has prepared supporting facilities for IG learning for students to build student intellectuals in the IG field will be better.
It is hoped that in the future the tertiary institution will further prepare the young generation as a regeneration to continue development in Indonesia so that the existing area will be well organized in accordance with its designation despite land limitations. And the university hopes that in the future there will be a lot of coaching organized to improve the quality of teaching human resources in the field of IG.
