High PublicIinterest in Mapping and Survey

During the year 2008, BAKOSURTANAL study tour has received requests for more than 1900 people, either from a primary school student to student, as well as Geography MGMP district or province. Figures for the visit was increased rapidly during the last three years, beginning around 700 people in 2006 and then into the 1500s people in the year 2007.

So great was their interest, not because they desire to know more about the survey and mapping activities conducted by the BAKOSURTANAL. In BAKOSURTANAL they gain practical knowledge of course they can not get on the bench of education.

In fact, it was recognized by the teachers if the subject matter of Geography, which now include a field survey and mapping, they have not mastered it well. And it would be much better if the students see directly to the agencies that conduct such activities.

On the other hand, benefited BAKOSURTANAL also because as a government institution in the field of surveying and mapping, BAKOSURTANAL have an obligation to foster and promote the survey and mapping to the public. Their arrival to the Cibinong, has helped to introduce to the public about the survey and mapping.

Visits last study tour received BAKOSURTANAL is a junior geography MGMP Banjarnegara district, Central Java. The group numbering 25 people received by the Head of Promotion and Cooperation Adiministrasi, M. Yulianto, BAKOSURTANAL Training House, on Tuesday, December 30, 2008.

On that occasion, they said that the visit was to enhance the competence of teachers of subjects as Geography junior Banjarnegara, in order to provide better educational material to students.

The delegation, led by Amiyanto also expressed his expectation that such socialization BAKOSURTANAL can provide about the survey and mapping in Banjarnegara, especially to the teachers of Geography, which until now still lack practical knowledge of surveying and mapping.

Similar expectations conveyed by many other teachers in several areas in Indonesia. Geography subject matter limitations, has made them to work harder. This indeed needs to be by many, perhaps also by some relevant agencies with these subjects.
